Learning languages changes the way we think
Our goal is to bring Spanish to the world. We want to share this wonderful language that has taught us so much, from the way we express ourselves to the rich cultural history it preserves. We always approach it from an academic perspective, but in a very personal and engaging way that feels familiar.
We are a 100% Costa Rican project.
The story
The brand was born in Costa Rica, in the midst of a pandemic and an existential crisis (like all good stories), but the passion for teaching and the desire to do things differently proved stronger. Since then, The Polyglocat has grown with a clear purpose: to make language learning a personal, fun, and effective experience.
Our cats are part of the team because they have been in every class, bringing a smile to everyone's face.
Our Team
Certified Costa Rican Spanish as a Foreign Language teacher with more than 5 years of experience, also an Agricultural Economist from the University of Costa Rica.
Interests:
Music: jazz, blues, R&B, progressive rock and Latin American folk music.
Science: fungi, animals, plants, the cosmos...
Cats.
Lifestyle: meditation, books, habits.
Adrianna Leitón, founder.

Costa Rican teacher with over 8 years of experience, graduated from the University of Costa Rica, specializing in inclusive education for children, youth, and adults. Currently working as a Spanish tutor and teacher of deaf teenagers.
Interests
Movement: from camping to diving, adventure sports, martial arts, backpacking and a little bit of everything.
Art: theater, film, music, etc. I want to learn and create.
Dogs.
Lifestyle, deep respect for nature and animals, movement and balance.
I'm learning about cars and motorcycles; I have two vintage projects in progress.
